You will find information about the Employ Florida Marketplace web site that will match job seekers with employers and other employment-related services. This web page can be a valuable tool for you in identifying the One-Stop Career Center in your community, which can provide resources that will make your search for employment or employees more cost-effective.

The Hiring Florida’s Heroes campaign aims to promote the availability of these returning veterans to Florida’s employers and connect employers with a variety of resources to assist in the hiring process. Employers interested in hiring veterans are encouraged to call the Employ Florida Marketplace hotline at 1-800-438-4128 to connect with a workforce specialist in their area. The specialists can assist employers by posting job listings, assembling lists of qualified candidates and answering questions about available training options among other services. Employers also can visit the Employ Florida Vets web portal to post job listings and view resumes.

Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs Honoring those who served U.S. With more than 1.4 million veterans, Florida is the most veteran-friendly state in the nation. The Florida Department of Veterans Affairs is the premier point of entry for Florida veterans to access earned service, benefits and support.

Veterans Florida is a non-profit corporation created by the State of Florida to help veterans transition to civilian life. Veterans Florida provides tools for veterans to take advantage of the benefits of living and working in the Sunshine State.

We provide a gateway to veteran-friendly educational institutions and programs that can maximize veteran employment opportunities. Through our Career Services Program, we are able to connect veterans with employers who are eager to hire veterans for jobs that put their particular military skills to use. We can also assist veterans in creating a winning resume and preparing for job interviews. Employers can also apply to receive grant funds to hire and train veterans.
For those veterans who want to start their own business, we created the Veterans Florida Entrepreneurship Program. The Entrepreneurship Program provides all the knowledge needed to successfully launch and operate a company.
