In accordance with Section 15.108 (Annual continuing education and training on Sunshine Law requirements), Ordinance Code: Notice is hereby given that the Jacksonville City Council Members will meet on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Lynwood Roberts Room, located on the 1st Floor, 117 West Duval Street, Jacksonville, Florida. The purpose of this meeting is to provide the annual continuing education and training on Government in the Sunshine and open meetings laws. In addition to fulfilling the requirements of Section 15.108, Ordinance Code, for both Council Members and Executive Council Assistants, this training will fulfill the requirements of §112.3142, F.S., which requires that elected municipal officers complete 4 hours of ethics training each calendar year.

Three Rivers Legal Services, Inc. has partnered with the City of Jacksonville's Military Affairs & Veterans Department to host a series of Ask-A-Lawyer events for Veterans.
Every 2nd Thursday a VSO will be at the Charles Webb Wesconnett Regional Library to provide general information on MAVD services, HVRP, tax preparation and upcoming events. . They can also assist clients with completing an Intent to File claim.
