Chief negotiator Mike Weinstein issued the following statement in response to inaccuracies about the city’s portion of stadium agreement funding.

Mayor Donna Deegan, lead negotiator Mike Weinstein, and Jaguars President Mark Lamping jointly presented a landmark stadium renovation agreement at the Jacksonville City Council meeting on Tuesday, May 14.

The City of Jacksonville’s Emergency Preparedness Division is thrilled to announce the inaugural JaxReady Fest, an interactive preparedness experience aimed at empowering residents with the knowledge and resources to stay safe and resilient in the face of all hazards that threaten our community.

Councilwoman Ju’Coby Pittman, The Ritz Theater & Museum and the City of Jacksonville are excited to announce the fourth annual Jacksonville Emancipation Celebration taking place in James Weldon Johnson Park. The festival will take place on Sunday, May 19, 2024 in an effort to educate the community about the historical significance of Florida’s observed Emancipation Day.  Cities like Jacksonville in the State of Florida are acknowledging this special day of freedom.
